Digital Linear Tape Array
The AML-40000 and AML-70000
series of Enhanced Tape Array represent the next step forward in high-capacity,
high-speed tape backup devices. Based on the latest linear tape drives,
the units offer outstanding data integrity and sustained data transfer
rates as high as 5MB per second.*
The Enhanced Array controller
performs all necessary drive emulations to enable connection via standard
manufacturer supplied SCSI interface to most computer platforms including
IBM (iSeries (AS/400) and RS/6000), Unisys, Sequent, Tandem, DEC, Bull, SUN, most
Unix based platforms and most PC Network systems. Since the Array fully
emulates standard supported devices, no special software is required.
We now have a High-speed,
ultra-SCSI tape array for the iSeries (AS/400) (Tandem support to follow!).
The
Enhanced Tape Array features an easy to use configuration menu which allows
the operator to select any of the following features:

Parallel or Cascade recording mode

Off line tape duplication

Off line tape diagnostics

Engineering sub menu for off line configuration and diagnostics
